The Ministry of Interior announced the closure of a number of roads due to heavy rains and flooding in various areas. The local daily reported that the roads that were shut down were Fahaheel Road towards Umm Al-Haiman, Fahaheel coastal road towards Al-Kout Mall, and Shuaiba Port – Warehouses.
Meanwhile, the Farwaniya Governorate Municipality Emergency Department provided logistical support to the Ministry of Public Works in its mechanism of withdrawing rainwater. The head of the team, Muhammad Al-Jalawi, stated that a work team was formed, under the directives of the head of the sector, Nawaf Al-Kandari, to go to the field and support the team to gather rainwater, in which three mechanisms were provided and distributed along Umm Al-Muminin Street, combining roads leading to access to four areas.
