As part of its endeavor to develop the level of health care and services provided to patients and visitors in all its facilities, the Ministry of Health is preparing to open two centers in “Sharq and Granada” to relieve pressure on public hospitals.

The health sources told a local Arabic daily, that the ministry will open more specialized clinics in primary health care centers, especially the emergency department, which are crowded from time to time, some of whom can be easily treated in the health center in the area where they live.

The sources added this is the future plan of the Ministry of Health to open a health center in the Sharq region, as an alternative to the Dasman Health Center, which suffers due  to limited space and frequent power outages, pointing out that the new center is a generous donation from Amna Al-Shalfan, and is currently being planned close to the centers and commercial complexes in the capital.

The sources indicated that the planned center will lessen the pressure on the Amiri Hospital and provide services and health care for residents in East, Dasman, Qibla and Mirqab, indicating the residents of the area requires the distinguished health care on a daily basis.

The sources indicated that the ministry is also moving to establish a health center in the Granada region, where the residents of the area are currently visiting the Ali Thunayan Al-Ghanim center in Sulaibikhat, due to the lack of a clinic in the area.

The sources stressed the keenness of ministry officials to increase health services, improve their performance, and develop work in centers and hospitals, to improve health services in the country.
