The Ministry of Health, represented by the Blood Transfusion Services Department, will launch the annual blood donation campaign “Together Forever, a Wall of the Homeland 8” on Wednesday, in conjunction with the 33rd anniversary of the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, under the auspices of the Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi. The medical director of the department, Dr. Hanan Al-Awadi said that the campaign will be launched at the Central Blood Bank in Jabriya, and in all donation centers of the administration from 8 am to 8 pm. Souvenirs will be distributed to the donors, as well.

According to Al Jarida daily, the blood donation campaign is being held for the eighth year in a row. The MOH, represented by the Central Blood Bank, is partnering with entities with social responsibility, civil society institutions, and the government sector to consolidate the concept of humanitarian and voluntary work, enhance social solidarity, and spread the culture of volunteering. The previous campaigns have seen a large turnout of donors. Dr. Al-Awadi called on the public to donate blood to express their love for Kuwait and recollect the heroics of the righteous martyrs, stressing that the continuous need for blood is uninterrupted.
