The Ministry of Health announced continuous development in ophthalmology and the exchange of experiences in this regard, as well as work to develop advanced treatment techniques.

The ministry referred to the launch of the 22nd Comprehensive Ophthalmology Conference in Kuwait next Thursday under the auspices of the Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi, and its activities will last for three days to discuss the latest medical developments in this field, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The ophthalmology consultant at the ministry and the head of the conference, Dr. Faisal Al-Jassar said that the conference includes all specialties of ophthalmology and surgery.

Al-Jassar added that there are participations from elite doctors from different countries of the world, the region and Kuwait, as modern mechanisms and methods of treatment will be discussed, in addition to performing some complex surgeries in cornea and retina specialties.

He explained that the conference will witness the holding of ten training workshops on some operations, which are supervised by specialized ophthalmologists, calling on all ophthalmologists to register and participate in this conference because of its benefit in advancing specialization and discussing its most important developments.

Al-Jassar referred to a meeting that will be held on the sidelines of the conference between the Gulf Associations for Ophthalmology to coordinate some common goals, as well as coordination in the field of exchanging training programs for doctors to benefit from diverse experiences.
