The Minister of Health, Ahmed Al-Awadi, announced the extension of work at the West Abdullah Al-Mubarak Clinic until evening, which currently closes at 2:00 pm, a local daily reported.
Minister Al-Awadi, in response to a question by Deputy Dr. Mubarak Al-Tasha, said that the Western Abdullah Mubarak Center opened in September 2022 to provide primary health care services to the residents of the region. The center closes in the afternoon due to a shortage of technical personnel, which the ministry is working on increasing, in order to operate the center in the evening before the end of December 2022.
The official added that there is a plan to open the dispensary for longer periods, and the working hours will be extended until twelve o’clock midnight, according to the need of the center and the statistics of auditors. Meanwhile, he confirmed that there is no need for a 24-hour operation at the center because the residents of the West Abdullah Mubarak area visit the Abdullah Mubarak Health Center, which is five minutes away from the area and provides 24 hours service a day.
