Health sources said the Ministry of Health will continue its efforts to import medicines and medical supplies to secure the strategic pharmaceutical stockpile and ensure that patients receive their medicines regularly.

The sources told a local Arabic daily that the ministry has obtained approvals from the concerned authority to purchase injections for diabetic patients worth of 3.8 million dinars, and syringes for cancer patients at a cost of 768,000 dinars, in addition to supplying “sprays” for respiratory patients at approximately 1.5 million dinars, reports a local Arabic daily.

The sources added the ministry is in the process of importing antibiotics for 275,000 dinars.
