Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, spokesman of the Ministry of Health said in a press statement, Tuesday, that MOH has introduced a new service for those who request treatment abroad which can now be done ‘online’ as part of the continuous automation of the Ministry’s services and facilitation for citizens.

Al-Qabas daily reported that all that the concerned people have to do is upload the required documents on official website of the ministry complete with basic data, whether the applicant is the relevant person or not, and follow the registration steps by selecting the specialized committee in the hospital to which the file is affiliated, the patient, the medical department concerned with the case, the medical file number, provided that the file is active in the hospital itself and recent medical reports.

Al-Sanad added that the case is provided via e-mail with the result of all procedures followed, whether with regard to the position of the specialized committee or the Supreme Committee, or follow-up procedures with the health office abroad upon approval of the request, including the date of the hospital review in the country to which it is sent.

He pointed out that the ministry’s services continue to be automated under the direct guidance of the Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi, and through the tireless efforts of the Undersecretary for Digital Health Affairs, Ahmed Gharib.

In this regard, he appreciated the tangible cooperation of the Undersecretary for External Health Services, Dr. Yaqoub Al-Tamar, to accomplish this service.
