The Ministry of Health  (MOH) revealed details of the health procedures. The ministry indicated in a press release that registering on Kuwait- Musafer app and the Shlonak application is the first procedure, Al-Rai reported.

All vaccinated citizens are allowed to travel outside the country as of Saturday, May 22, 2021.

The Ministry indicated that the following categories are excluded from the vaccination requirement:

1.Citizens who obtained a certificate approved by the Ministry of Health stating that they were unable to obtain the vaccine for health reasons.

2. Pregnant citizens, provided that they obtain a certificate of proof of pregnancy issued and approved by the Ministry of Health.

3. Age groups not subject to vaccination.

3. Kuwaiti students studying abroad are allowed to leave immediately after receiving at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, and it is not required that two weeks have passed since receiving the dose, with proof of study abroad.

The Ministry of Health referred to the mechanism for obtaining the exception by reviewing the required evidence and documents being submitted from 8 am to 5 pm.

The health procedures necessary to be followed for return to Kuwait, the Ministry stated that they are as follows:

Un-Vaccinated travelers-

1.Submit a PCR test within 72 hours before the date of boarding the plane

2.Register for the Kuwait Musafe app and the Shlonak app.

3.PCR test upon arrival at the airport in the State of Kuwait.

4.Quarantine for a period of 14 days, including 7 days of institutional quarantine, a smear test on the seventh day, and completion of 7 days in-home quarantine.

Categories of exemption from institutional quarantine:

1.Kuwaiti patients and their companions.

2. Diplomats accredited to the State of Kuwait, their first-degree relatives, and their accompanying domestic workers.

3.Minors under the age of 18 are prevented from arriving alone without a companion.

4.Medical personnel and their first-degree relatives and their accompanying domestic workers.

5.Kuwaiti students studying abroad with proof of that.

Vaccinated Travelers

1.PCR test within 72 hours before the date of boarding the plane, provided that the results are correct.

2. Register for the Kuwait Musafer app and the Shlonak app.

3. PCR swab within 3 days from the date of arrival in Kuwait, and end of quarantine if the result is negative.
