The Ministry of Health (MoH) on Tuesday announced allocating 29 medical centers to provide roundtheclock services across the country and the Health Minister Sheikh Dr. Bassel AlSabah affirms readiness to any emergency.
The move is meant to deal with any emergency caused by volatile weather conditions and expected heavy rains on the country within the upcoming hours. In a press statement, the ministry identified the allocated centers in AlAsimah Governorate as: Ali Thanyan AlGhanim in Sulaibikhat, AlEhqaqi in Daiya and AlSaqr in Adiliya. The centers allocated in Hawally Governorate are West Salmiya, Salwa, Rumaithiya, AlSalam, and South Sabah AlSalem, it added.
The statement noted that the centers in Farwaniya Governorate are: Abdullah AlMubarak, South AlFerdaws, AlRabiya, AlAndalus, and South Farwaniya. It went to say that the centers in Jahra Governorate are Saad AlAbdullah Block 2, Jahra, AlQasr and Abdaly. It named that the centers operating in AlAhmadi Governorate as AlRigga, Bnaider, Eastern AlSabahiya, Fahaheel, Ali Sabah AlSalem, Wafrah, Sabah AlAhmad and Khiran.
Furthermore, Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Bassel AlSabah stressed the readiness of all sectors of the ministry for any development resulted from unstable weather. Speaking to KUNA, Dr. Bassel said he directed heads of all health centers and hospitals to show a maximum readiness for any emergency. He added that the ministry last May reformed the coordinative committee of emergency represented in all sectors, and modernized its emergency plan.
