The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Dr. Ali Al-Yaqoub, has issued a decision regarding the timing of school hours for the holy month of Ramadan for kindergarten, general education, special education and religious schools, in addition to private Arab schools.
According to the decision, a copy of which has been obtained by a local Arabic daily the working hours of all schools will start at 9.30 am, and end at 1 pm for kindergarten, 1.30 pm for primary, and 2.05 pm for intermediate and secondary schools.
Regarding the time duration for each class it has been set at 40 minutes for all educational levels, 5 periods for kindergarten, and 6 periods for the rest of the educational levels (intermediate – primary – secondary).
With regard to the hours of adult education and literacy centers, it will start at 7:45 pm until 12 midnight, and the class time will also be 40 minutes duration.
