The Ministry of Education has requested a budget of 2.7 billion dinars for fiscal 2024-2025 from the Ministry of Finance. According to sources, the Ministry of Education’s financial sector has completed the draft budget, which has been submitted to the Ministry of Finance for approval.

The proposed budget covers various sections, with the first section dedicated to workers’ salaries and bonuses, surpassing two billion dinars due to an increase in the number of employees in educational and administrative bodies. This increase aligns with the Ministry’s expansion plans, including the opening of new schools to accommodate urban growth and new residential areas like Al-Mutla’a, suburb of Abdullah Mubarak, and others, reports Al-Anba daily.

The sources reveal that the Ministry of Education currently employs over 143,000 teachers and administrators, with the salaries section consuming approximately 90% of the budget.

Additionally, the twelfth-grade students in scientific, literary, and religious education sections are participating in exams for the first academic period. The Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Anwar Al-Hamdan, along with other officials, is conducting field tours to oversee examination committees in religious education institutes.

Hessa Al-Mutawa, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education, highlighted that Kuwait has four religious institutes for the secondary stage, accommodating a total of 794 students. The examinations for twelfth-grade students are progressing smoothly, with a focus on adhering to regulations to ensure the quality of education.

The Chairman of the Abdul Rahman Al-Sumait Institute Examinations Committee, Muhammad Al-Rashidi, and the head of the examination committee for the Cordoba Religious Institute Girls, Sharifa Al-Anazi, confirmed that their committees are operating in accordance with established rules and regulations without significant problems.

Regarding exam results, the Ministry of Education announced that the results of 329,233 students have been uploaded on its website. School administrations are continuing to upload results through electronic platforms and the Sahl application for the convenience of students and guardians.
