The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) said today, Tuesday that KD166.73 million was spent during the year 2020 on subsidizing food and construction materials, Al-Rai reported.
The ministry said in a press statement that the total amount spent on foodstuffs, including basic things and milk and baby food, amounts to KD 116.3 million.
Ministry explained that the amount spent on subsidizing various kinds of infant formula and nutrients was estimated at 5.5 million dinars, while the support for construction materials amounted to about 50 million dinars.
