The Minister of Social Affairs and Community Development and Minister of State for Women and Childhood Affairs, President of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, Mai Al-Baghli, condemned the recent report of children abused by a teacher, an Arab daily reported.
Al-Baghli announced that the Supreme Council for Family Affairs decided to receive cases of abused children to rehabilitate them and their families, as part of the council’s responsibility to provide psychological, social service and assistance in such cases. The official added that cooperation has been made with the Social Development Office in order to form a volunteer team for the reception and treatment, as well as to provide all necessary support.
In addition, Al-Baghli urged the need to rehabilitate abused children, mentioning that the procedures in receiving cases will be announced as soon as possible. She added that complete confidentiality will be maintained when receiving cases due to the sensitivity of the case and for privacy reasons.
