The Ministry of Information affirmed its intention to monitor all cases of electronic blackmail against government officials and take all legal measures to preserve the status of public office for state employees in public interest.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Information, Anwar Murad, said the “media”, in coordination with the security authorities, will monitor these cases and refer them to the concerned authorities to take the necessary action.
Murad explained this cooperation comes from the ministry’s keenness to coordinate media work in public interest, and that the ministry will spare no effort in working to hold anyone who tries to practice blackmail and exploit any situation to achieve his personal ends accountable.
