Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) announced Tuesday that the Commercial Control and Consumer Protection unit has managed to control the largest fraud in counterfeiting 52,000 cans emulating an international brand used for cooking.
The ministry said in a press statement that through the instructions of the Trade and Industry Minister, Faisal Al-Midlej, inspectors have intensified their inspection rounds, which enabled them to control goods that are sold to grocery stores without invoices. The seizure process is considered the largest in the history of the Commerce Ministry, and those responsible for it will be transferred to competent authorities.
