The Ministry of Public Works denied saying there are no road maintenance contracts before the end of this year, according to what was circulated in some news services.
The Ministry of Works confirms that it is proceeding with the procedures for issuing 10 tenders related to road maintenance work, in coordination with the competent authorities in the country, and its endeavor to speed up the procedures for issuing them, reports Al-Jarida daily.
The ministry indicated that it had previously examined all the roads and determined the nature of the necessary maintenance work that it needed, and that it was doing its best to complete the maintenance work for all the damaged roads in all governorates.
The Ministry announced its reservations about its legal right to hold accountable those who spread rumors to stir up citizens and residents in the country. In this context, the Ministry calls on fellow citizens and residents to obtain information from its official sources.
