Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Communications, Dr. Ahmed Al-Majren, announced the activation of three electronic services provided by the ministry through the Sahel application. According to Al Jarida, Al-Mujren said in a press statement that this step is part of the ministry’s plan to develop its electronic services, which is an essential stage towards accelerating digital transformation. He added that these new services will enhance the efficiency and speed of completing government transactions, allowing the public to conduct their business electronically.
He said that the first service sends a notification to subscribers as soon as any indebtedness related to the services provided by the ministry is due. The second service sends a notification to subscribers after the successful completion of the payment process. The subscriber is issued a payment invoice through the app. The third service allows subscribers to obtain an electronic clearance certificate in the event that there are no outstanding and unpaid debts on the subscriber for the services provided by the ministry.
Al-Majren added that the ministry is always finding new ways to enhance the efficiency of its services, which include using the latest technological developments and digital transformation initiatives.
