The Director of the Libraries Department at the Ministry of Education, Ahmed Al-Majdi, stated that the ministry has adopted an automated inventory of school libraries in cooperation with the Information Systems Department. This will cancel printed paper forms and will be replaced with an automated system. An Arab daily published the announcement with Al-Majdi’s statement that the move is part of the library management’s strategy towards digital transformation, as well as achieving its vision of “sustainable libraries with modern technologies”.

Al-Majidi explained that the automated system will allow each school to enter the Ministry’s website and fill in the data automatically based on each school. Once the schools have entered their data, the statistics will be automatically sent to the library management and follow-up.
