The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works for the Planning and Development Sector by designation and the official spokesperson for the Ministry, M. Ahmed Al-Saleh, said that since Monday morning, rain began to fall across the country, which flowed within the capacity of the drainage network. He added that as the rain continues to increase in intensity and coincides with the high tide, a slow discharge of water is expected, causing some flooding on roads and areas.

Al-Saleh pointed out that the ministry has deployed several emergency teams to deal with the situation. The Ministry warns the public to take precaution in using the streets and roads, and in the event of any emergency (flood) to contact the hotline no. (150) or via the Ministry’s WhatsApp No. (93333150).
