The ministerial committee for the preparation and follow-up of the government’s program of action met on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
The meeting gathered Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr. Hamed Al- Azmi, Minister of Justice and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Dr. Fahad Muhamad Al-Afasi, Minister of Finance Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf and members of the Supreme Council for Planning Nasser Al-Roudhan, Fahad Al-Rashed and Sheikha Al-Bahar.
The Directorate of Moral Guidance and Public Relations of the Kuwaiti Army said in a statement that the committee discussed the executive details of the study relating to the development and reformation of the government administration, the ways of selecting the global consultant, and the executive program and timeline of this study.
On this subject, the Committee listened to a detailed presentation by the Director-General of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) Dr. Adnan Shihabuddin; KFAS is the financer of the study.
The committee discussed the final document of Kuwait’s strategy to promote integrity and fight corruption lasting from 2019-2024 and the steps to put it into action.The committee listened to a presentation by the Chairman of Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) on the principles, priorities and tools to implement this strategy successfully.
