The Minister of Public Works, Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Dr. Amani Bouqmaz said the Kuwaitization rate in the Ministry of Electricity and Water has reached 97.25 percent, and the percentage of expatriate workers in the Ministry is only 2.75 percent.

In response to a query by MP Abdullah Al-Anbai, the Ministry of Electricity and Water is committed to the implementing decisions issued by the Civil Service Commission, related to the application of the replacement policy, in accordance with CSC Resolution No. 11 of 2017 regarding the rules and procedures for Kuwaitization of government jobs, by ending employee services of expatriate workers and replacing them by citizens.

She added that the number of expatriates working in the operation and maintenance contracts of the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy is 949, stressing that national cadres can occupy all jobs and professions in the ministry, depending on their qualification, and according to the actual work need for the various sectors of the ministry.
