Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi, the Minister of Health, continued to take “unprecedented” actions in holding individuals accountable for violating regulations and laws within the private medical sector.
He recently issued a decision to suspend six Kuwaiti doctors from their duties, including a former minister, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
Reliable sources in the health sector attributed the suspension of these doctors to allegations of trading in Lyrica pills and utilizing an unlicensed facility, among other offenses.
Minister Al-Awadhi additionally implemented disciplinary measures against 20 companies that hold contracts with the Ministry, following a thorough review and audit, due to violations committed under these contracts.
Former Minister of Health, Dr. Muhammad Al-Haifi, commended the reformative actions taken by the Ministry of Health. He expressed his appreciation in an interview with Al-Seyassah daily, stating, “I commend the Ministry of Health, under Minister Al-Awadhi’s leadership, for their boldness and diligence in enforcing regulations and legal procedures uniformly.
He emphasized the importance of organizing operations within the private health sector to benefit everyone in terms of the services offered to citizens and residents.”
