Minister of Social Affairs and Community Development, Minister of State for Housing Affairs and Urban Development Mubarak Zaid Al-Mutairi has issued a decision to regulate the mechanism of judicial seizure, the conditions and procedures to be followed before and after affecting the seizure, and the controls exercised by this police force in the cooperatives sector.
Director of the Public Relations and Media Department in the Ministry, Ahmed Al-Enezi, this decision falls within the procedures of (Social Affairs and Community Development) to organize the cooperative sector process and contribute to strengthening its institutional governance, reports Al-Rai daily.
He added the decision clarifies the limits and responsibilities of the violators on the one hand, and the limits and competencies of the judicial officer and his work mechanism on the other hand.
The decision stipulates the employees who have the capacity of judicial police take over the task of detecting crimes and violations stipulated in the law issued regarding cooperative societies and the decisions implementing it, and writing the necessary records.
The decision specifies compliance with the text of the assignment issued by his direct superior based on a complaint received by the ministry or according to the schedule of inspection tours prepared weekly by the concerned department.
The decision obligates the officer not to use force or threat, but may seek the assistance of the police force when necessary and request completion of the procedures at the police station if need be.
