In a formal statement, the Ministry of the Interior has reported that Acting Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, presided over a security meeting today. This meeting was part of the Ministry’s regular interactions with the security leaders.

During the meeting, Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, along with a group of assistant undersecretaries and Lieutenant General Anwar Al-Barjas, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, discussed the traffic situation during the initial week of the new academic year, reports Al-Qabas daily.

They particularly focused on strategies to manage traffic congestion, especially during peak hours, for the smooth entry and exit of students to and from educational institutions.

The Minister also examined the outcomes of intensive security and traffic campaigns conducted by various sectors of the Ministry of Interior targeting violators and lawbreakers.

He emphasized the importance of sustained security campaigns against violators and individuals threatening the nation’s security. The Minister stressed the necessity of enforcing the law unequivocally, addressing traffic congestion as a top priority. This involves deploying traffic patrols across major and minor roads, assessing intersections to ensure smooth traffic flow, and taking a resolute stance against any misbehavior. Additionally, he advocated for intensified public awareness campaigns to enhance traffic consciousness, promote adherence to traffic regulations, and instill fundamental values and loyalty to the homeland.

Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled commended the relentless efforts of each sector within the Ministry of Interior. He provided constructive feedback and directives to activate measures that would effectively counter any violations of the law.
