The Ministry of Electricity and Water has obtained the approval of the Central Agency for Public Tenders to offer a project to construct 9 freshwater towers in the residential city of Al-Mutla’a and the works attached to it at site No. 2, as part of a package of projects implemented by the Ministry in Al-Mutla’a Residential.
Al-Jarida quoting sources said the authority has set a March 8 deadline for submitting bids by companies wishing to compete to win the implementation of the project’s work.
MEW sources stated that the ministry has set an estimated budget of 10 million dinars for the project. The implementation period is 36 months. The sources explained the project will provide fresh water and increase the strategic water stock for the residents of the region.
In a related context, the Central Agency for Public Tenders referred the papers of several maintenance tenders to the Ministry of Electricity and Water for consideration and technical opinion, including a tender for supplying and extending 300 kV ground cables in Al-Sabah Medical District, and a tender for supplying and installing monitoring and control equipment for 6 main power transmission stations in Sabah Al-Ahmad Marine District.
The sources pointed out, the ministry is keen to complete various maintenance works and complete these projects during the winter season in preparation for the upcoming summer season, in which the demand for energy will increase.
