The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy said it has collected 250,000 dinars from expatriates and Gulf nationals leaving the country, since activation of the bill payment link between the Ministry of Electricity and Ministry of Interior in early September.

The sources said that the value of the dues collected by the Ministry was done through the customer service office at Kuwait Airport and the rest of the sector’s offices spread across the regions of Kuwait, as well as through the electronic payment mechanisms that the Ministry makes available to its customers who wish to pay their dues, reports Al-Rai daily.

The sources expected that this step would contribute to raising the ministry’s collections of its dues and prevent the accumulation of indebtedness on consumers who benefit from the ministry’s services.
