Saud Al-Ajmi, a member of the audit team on the Municipality affiliated with the Audit Bureau, has requested for details of procedures adopted by the Municipality regarding the transfer of some duties to other government agencies.

In a letter addressed to the Municipality, Al-Ajmi said that Article 48 of Law 33 of 2016 decided to transfer some of the duties related to licensing and supervision as follows:

■ Transfer of advertisements in public places and street vendors to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

■ Transfer of the licensing, supervising and controlling indicative advertisements duties to the Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport.

■ Transfer of the licensing, supervising and controlling markets for birds, poultry, live animals and ornamental fish duties to the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources.

■ Transfer of the licensing, supervising and controlling scrap sites duties to the Public Authority for Industry.
