The Director-General of the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources Sheikh Muhammad Al-Youssef issued a decision allowing the start of the mead fishing season in Kuwaiti territorial waters From June 15, Al-Rai report.
The official spokesperson for the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources, Talal Al-Daihani, said that the decision was issued in coordination with the Deputy Director-General of the Fisheries Sector, Marzouq Al-Azmi, after reviewing the mead stocks and carrying out the marine control patrols to ensure the availability of good quantities of it.
Al-Daihani added that fishing will be carried out by the conditions and controls set by the authority from June 15 to November 30, indicating the necessity to abide by the provisions of Resolution No. 787 of 2017 regarding permitting mead fishing in Kuwaiti territorial waters.
