Maurya Kala Parisar, Kuwait (MKP) celebrated its most sought after event of the year – Maurya Manch on Friday, 11 January at the auditorium of ICSK. Khaitan. Second Secretary, Indian Embassy,  Sanjeev Saklani graced the occasion as Chief Guest whereas Sri Praveen Singh of Al-Mulla Group was present as Guest of Honour.

Sabir Hussain Ansari, the President of Maurya Kala Parisar, Kuwait in his welcome speech laid out the motive behind establishing the organization. He emphasized that though, MKP is an association of people in Kuwait who have primarily their roots in the Indian states of Jharkhand and Bihar, it open heartedly welcomes and assimilates anyone who share the same spirit and culture of the region.

Sanjeev Saklani, the Chief Guest lauded the organization for its sincerity for helping people and bringing them together. He, also exalted MKP’s other events like Food festival and Hindi Divas, done every year, where former introduces diverse cuisines from different parts of India, the latter marks the birth anniversary of India’s national poet, Shri Ramdhari Singh Dinkar as well as celebrates the spirit of Hindi as the National Language with several programs and competitions.

The event was witnessed by a large crowd of people from various communities across India. As promised, Maurya Manch 2019 had rows of entertaining programs which enthralled the audience.

The elegant Bharatnatyam dance closely followed by kids’ sincere attempt at patriotic skit, Deshbhakton ki Jhaanki, in which audience relived the era of Indian freedom movements. Where the well coordinated dance performances such as Barso re megha-megha, ladies’ dance, boys’ dance, skit, and fashion show enhanced the entertainment further, in addition to the singing performances, solo and medley both. Maurya Manch is not only a platform to provide just entertainment to its audience but it is also an outstanding runway for its members to highlight their talents.

Prominent talents that left their mark were – Bhratanatyam by Daksha; Deshbhakton ki Jhaanki by Yashita, Abbhigyan, Mohammad Shayan, Ruman, Ayush Raj, Ashmit, Uzair, and Umang (Director: Rinku jaiswal); Barson re megha dance by Aliza Zafar, Avika Sinha, Avani Sinha, Sanjeevani Rai, Shahana Afroz, and Unaiba Kausar (Director: Sujata Kashyap); Medley of Songs: Abdul Hamid Nakhwa, Rohit Deo, Shweta Shruti, Radhika Mishra, Sujata Kashyap, Priyanka Baranwal, Nitin, Yashita and Shahana, Ifrah Jahangir and Ramsha; Kids’ dance by Yashita, Arya, Aarav, Shayan, Daksha, Umang, Abbhigyan, Shaurya, and Rishi Raj (choreographed by Santosh Chauhan); Skit by Devesh Kumar, Sonali J Thapar, Santosh, Mohd. Shahzaib, and Fahad Raza Khan (Director: S. Ritwik); Ladies Dance by Sugandha, Shobha, Suchitra, Supriya, Neelika, and Nivedita (Choreographed by Nivedita and Sugandha); Boys’ dance by Mohd. Shahzaib, Fahad Raza Khan, and Vishal (Choreographed by Santosh Chauhan);and Fashion show by Suchitra, Supriya, Radhika, Sharmila, Preeti, Tanmayee, Urmila, Neelika, Shobha, Anamika, Kainat, Nivedita, Divya Ritwik, and Noora (Director: Supriya singh and Suchitra Deo).
Asha Mishra and Manoj Mishra, the anchors, guided the audience through the entertaining list of performances with their witty introduction. The Stage and the artists, especially the young ones were brilliantly managed by Nitin Prabhakar, Uday Prakash and Bushra Afroz. Professional touch to the lively evening was provided by the Audio and Visual team which included Sumit Tekriwal, Sanjeev Kumar and Zafar Siddiqui.

Any event of such massive level demands to be prepared in advance. While the Core Committee had the vision and guidance of Advisory Board Members- Abhay Kashyap and Ujwal Ritwik, Office Bearers, Sabir H. Ansari (President), Manoj Mishra (General Secretary), Sujeet Sinha (Treasurer), Neeraj Ranjan (Vice President), Divya Ritwik (Joint Secretary), dedicated efforts from its various executive committee and other members viz. The event progressed with the release of the Souvenir followed by recognition of the kids who had excelled in Academics and Extra Curricular activities during the previous year. The kids, who were recognized for their achievements included Mohammad Shayan Ansari, Yashita Bhardwaj, Aarian Sinha Ritwik, Adeeba Taqui Hasan, Avika Sunha, Sanjeevani Rai, Mohd. Shahzaib Hussain, Umang Prakash, Unaiba Kausar, Harsh Ranjan, Naailah Taqui Hasan, Ebrahim Nakhwa, Ashmit Baranwal, Shubhangi Rai and Sidra M. Yaqoob.
The evening came to an end with Raffle Draw, Finale Dance and Vote of thanks by Sujeet Sinha.
