Maritime operations were put to a halt in Shuwaikh, Doha, Shuai’ba seaports due to the abnormal weather, said the Kuwait Ports Authority (KPA) Thursday. The KPA said in a statement that operations were suspended at 08:00 a.m. local time.
The State of Kuwait is currently experiencing abnormal weather with a dust storm prevailing on most areas due to the presence of northwestern winds at speed of 70 kilometers per hour (km/h) with low visibility at less than 1,000 meters. The state of the sea saw waves at seven feet.
