As part of plans to reform the demographic imbalance, the Director-General of the Public Authority for Manpower, Dr. Mubarak Al-Azmi, said the authority intends to opt for tests to a number of professions in cooperation with the Society of Engineers, to ensure only skilled people get entry to Kuwait.
A local Arabic daily has learned the tests applied will be for new arrivals as a first stage, and then will be applied to those wishing to renew their work permits inside the country.
The sources added those who fail the test will be given a grace period to leave the country.
