The Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport said the impartial investigation committee on the “Manhole cover” incident has submitted its report last Thursday to the Minister of Public Works and Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Dr. Amani Boqmaz.

The sources indicated that during investigations conducted by the committee since its formation, the previous acting Director General of the Roads Authority Eng. Suha Ashkanani, Acting Director General of the Roads Authority, Eng. Rajaa Al-Moamen, and Director of the Highway Maintenance Department, Eng. Muhammad Al-Qazwini gave their testimony pointing out that the committee’s report included several recommendations, which the sources preferred not to mention, reports Al-Rai daily.

It is noteworthy that a misdemeanor court acquitted an engineer of the charge of manslaughter a few days ago in the case known as the “manhole cover” that caused the death of a citizen, after after with his car was involved in a collision 2021.
