A man in Singapore has sued a woman who rejected him for a whopping $3 million in damages, claiming she caused “emotional trauma” to his life.

According to the Singapore-based newspaper, The Straits Times, the man, identified as K. Kaushigan, filed his lawsuit against Nora Tan Shu Mi after she told him she was not interested in a romantic relationship with him, reports Al-Rai daily.

The publication reported that Kaushigan, director of the drone company D1 Racing, had filed two lawsuits against Nora, including a $3 million lawsuit alleging Nora had caused “damage to his excellent reputation, shock, depression and effects on his life.”

He claimed that because of the remarks she made, he lost profits from his business partnerships and had to pay exorbitant costs for treatment in order to overcome his trauma.

As for the second lawsuit, it was a lawsuit dismissed by the magistrate judge last January, in which Kaushigan claimed that Nora “violated their agreement” regarding the improvement of their 4-year relationship, and demanded compensation of $22,000. Kaushigan sued her for $3 million in July before filing a $22,000 lawsuit in August.

The court ruling published on January 28, in the $22,000 claim, shows Mr. Kaushigan brought two cases against Nora after their relationship broke down when she told him she only considered him as a friend.
