On behalf of the Government and the brotherly people of Malaysia, I would like to extend my heartiest congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister, the Government and the people of Kuwait, on the joyous occasion of the 60th anniversary of National Day of the State of Kuwait and the 30th anniversary of the Liberation of the State of Kuwait.
Since the establishment of our diplomatic relations in 1974, Kuwait and Malaysia have continued to remain on an upward trajectory. Therefore, I am confident that under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir, the Crown Prince, and the Prime Minister, both countries will continue to work closely to explore new ways and means to deepen the existing relations in many areas of mutual interests in years to come.
I am also happy to note that Malaysia and Kuwait energy sector investment cooperation has shown a significant turning point with the recent largest-ever hydrocarbon discovery in KUFPEC’s history. The discovery in Malaysia is ranked as one of the world’s top gas discoveries in the past 12-month.
May I once again offer my warm felicitations to the people of Kuwait on these joyous occasions. I pray to Allah the Almighty to grant His Highnesses’ continued good health and happiness and for the State of Kuwait to be blessed with peace and prosperity under Your Highnesses’ wise guidance.
