The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Public Security Affairs, Major General Faraj Al-Zoubi, revealed the security and traffic plan to ensure no untoward incidents happen during the national holidays saying violators of the laws will be arrested and referred to the concerned authorities immediately.
Major General Al-Zoubi told Al-Qabas, that the security instructions are clear and explicit, and stipulate the arrest and transfer of people who are not committed to public morals during the celebrations of the National Day and Liberation Day to the competent authorities, in accordance with the first paragraph of Article 198.
He indicated the police stations will operate at full capacity during the national holidays, and the public security sector is fully prepared to perform the tasks entrusted to it with the participation of 2,000 securitymen and 300 security patrols from the public security sector to deal firmly with any negative phenomena such as spraying water, squatting on the roofs or bonnets of vehicles, lurking out of windows, obstructing traffic, parking in prohibited places and parking in places designated for the disabled persons, holding prohibited races, reckless actions and exceeding the prescribed speeds.
He called on everyone to abide and obey orders from the security authorities and stressed the Environment Police will not tolerate environmental violations during national celebrations, especially with regard to throwing waste in places other than those designated for it.
