The holy month of Ramadan is a time of compassion and caring for others, and reflecting this spirit of empathy and concern for fellow human beings, especially for the less fortunate in society, LuLu Hypermarket has launched a humanitarian initiative titled ‘Joy of Sharing’ that runs throughout the 39-day Ramadan period.

During this humane campaign, LuLu Hypermarket will distribute 250 ‘Iftar kits’ every day of the holy month, as a compassionate gesture to people fasting from dawn to dusk each day. The ‘Iftar kits’, which comprise all food items needed to open the fast at Iftar time, will be a welcome relief to all those who do not have time, or the means, to prepare elaborate Iftar food to break their fast.

As part of the ‘Joy of Sharing’ campaign, LuLu Hypermarket has already distributed thousands of ‘Iftar kits’ to several labor camps situated around the country, and the campaign is slated to run throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
