LuLu Hypermarket, the region’s leading retailer and considered among top global powers in retailing, is celebrating ‘Diwali’, the Indian ‘Festival of Lights’ with a colorful and glittering promotion.
The festive mood is already discernible throughout the hypermarket, with several special events and attractions to be launched during and in the lead up to the festival. The promotions, contests and festivities, which will be available at all branches of the hypermarket, will extend over the days leading up to the main Diwali day on 4 November, as well as the two subsequent days of celebrations until 6 November.
To highlight the upcoming festival, all the branches will wear a festive look with Diwali decoration bedecking the foyer and aisles of the hypermarket, In addition, special ‘Diwali Selfie’ counters will open two weeks ahead of the promotion, enabling shoppers to click memorable snaps of themselves and their loved ones in the Diwali mood.
Among the festivities will be a Rangoli competition on Saturday, 30 October, which will be held at the LuLu Express outlet located in Terrace Mall, Salmiya. This distinctive art form involves creating colorful patterns on the floor using traditional art materials such as dry rice flour, red ochre, limestone powder and flower petals. Entry forms for this unique competition will be available on the hypermarket’s website at https://www.luluhypermarket.com/en-kw as well as in all LuLu Hypermarket outlets in Kuwait.
Stay tuned for special Diwali offers, online competitions and contests that will be organized in the days ahead of the festival. Diwali delights on offer at attractive prices during the festival, include ‘Namkeen’ snacks and sweets to celebrate the occasion, as well as festival clothing, ‘diyas’ (small clay oil lamps) and electric decor lights, as well as other home decoration items.
With sharing of sweets playing a big part of the Festival of Lights, the chefs at LuLu Hypermarket have created enticing and delectable traditional and contemporary sweets that will be offered at special sweet counters set up in all the branches.
In addition, to mark the occasion, LuLu Shopping Gift cards will be available enclosed in special cardholders imprinted with Diwali greetings, thereby conveying the festival sentiments of the gift giver to recipients of the gift.
