The Ministry of Information praised the State of Kuwait for winning of four awards at the 21st Arab Radio and Television Festival, which recently concluded in Tunisia and was organized by the Arab States Broadcasting Union under the slogan ‘Course of Communication and Renewal’, noting that this win reflects the excellence and leadership of Kuwaiti competencies and the media apparatus in Kuwait.

In a press statement, the official spokesman for the ministry, Anwar Murad, conveyed the congratulations of the Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi to the leaders and employees of the radio and television sector in the ministry and all workers in the Kuwaiti media field for the deserved achievement to be added to the honorable record of Kuwaiti media in various competitions.

The statement said the superiority of the Kuwaiti media comes as a result of the continuous support it enjoys from the political leadership in the country, which is embodied in keeping pace with the global media development and preparing the national element to excel in the media field.

Kuwait Radio won the first place in the category of family and children’s programs, while the radio program (Our Scientific Life) produced by Kuwait Radio also won second place in the category of scientific programs. In terms of television competitions, the program (What after Drugs), produced by Kuwait TV, won the first prize for the talk show competition, and the Children’s Studio program, produced by Kuwait TV, won the first prize in the children’s program category.
