The weather forecast observer at the Meteorological Department, Abdulaziz Al-Qarawi, told  Al-Rai that the temperature today and yesterday reached 53.5 degrees Celsius in some areas of Kuwait, and it is expected the temperature to drop to its normal levels next Sunday, ranging between 48 and 49 degrees Celsius.

Al-Qarawi said that the temperature scale that is recorded and announced is taken in the shade. As for the temperature under the sun’s rays, the Meteorological Department does not use these scales, but it can be read from car devices and other devices, where the temperature ranges under the sun’s rays. Al-Qarawi explained that the readings and recording of the temperature are taken globally according to a unified mechanism, which is the measurement of the air temperature in the shade
