Kuwait’s Ambassador to Cairo H E Ghanem Saqr Al-Ghanim said the Kuwait Embassy in Cairo is following up the condition of the Kuwaiti from the moment he was attacked by some Egyptians at dawn on Friday, following an altercation with his attackers at a petrol station.

The ambassador said the embassy has ensured the victim gets necessary health care after he was admitted to a hospital, in addition to following up on the investigations conducted by the relevant authorities, reports a local Arabic daily.

Al-Ghanim said that the condition of the Kuwaiti citizen is stable and left the hospital, Saturday. He praised the efforts of the security authorities in the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, and the speed of arresting the perpetrators, bringing them to justice, and cooperating with the embassy.

The sources said that Ambassador Al-Ghanim contacted the citizen, and added the aggressors have been referred to the Public Prosecution for investigatin.

The sources pointed out that the 25-year-old citizen is in Egypt for tourism with his family.
