Kuwaiti citizen Aqab Nimr Al-Bathali saved three people from death, after their cruiser sank in the Doha Sea.

He told Al-Rai: “I was swimming with my friends in the Doha Sea, and I asked them to return to the shore, because I felt that something strange was happening there.

“When we returned to the shore, I saw two people waving at me, and they appeared to be drowning. After I pulled them out of the sea I asked if there was anyone else with them, and they said there is another friend but did not know where he ‘disappeared’.”

Al-Bathali added, “We continued searching for the third person, and found him who had drifted about 600 meters away clinging to piece of wood.

The operation to rescue him and his two friends took three hours, and they are believed to be in good health. They have been handed over to their families in good health.
