Minister of Health, Dr. Khaled Al-Saeed has issued a decision to allow Kuwaiti pharmacists who have a license to practice the profession in the private sector, and to practice the profession in one other entity only in the same sector, provided they adhere to the following conditions.
The pharmacist licensed to practice the profession must be a Kuwaiti, and submit an approved letter from the entity in which he works to the Drug Inspection Department, agreeing to work for another entity in the same sector, specifying the working days and hours and the name of the entity in which he wants to work.
According to the conditions the concerned entity must submits a letter of approval to obtain a work permit for the pharmacist, and that the permit form should mention the specified working days and hours.
In case of any violation, the Violation The permit will be canceled, and he is not entitled to apply for another permit until after 6 months have passed from the date of canceling the previous permit.
The conditions also specified that the permit’s validity date be two years, subject to renewal, upon a written request from the permit holder and the entity he works for. In the event that the permit expires without renewal, the permit is considered null.
