The Kuwaiti market witnessed the sale of up to 18,000 PlayStation 5 devices in 19 months, since Sony announced the launch of the device in November 2020.
Informed sources in the technology and electronic devices sector told a local Arabic daily, that while there is a severe shortage in the number of the device due to the lack of production by the manufacturer, citing shortage of “microchips” used in its manufacture globally, they revealed that up to 3,000 devices will be launched in Kuwait during the coming period, specifically in conjunction with the Eid al-Adha holiday.
