The Council of Ministers agreed to the return of domestic workers and gave green light to the Corona Emergency Committee, headed by the Deputy Prime Minister, Anas Al-Saleh, to prepare a report for the implementation of their safe return process, Al-Anba reported.

The sources told the daily that  Minister of Health,  Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah will chair the health committee meeting today to coordinate and review the proposals and implementation plan in this regard.

The sources also explained that the meeting aims to finalize the conditions required to implement the safe return of domestic workers and whether it will only allow the return of those with valid residency permits, or will sponsors be allowed to renew the residency of some domestic workers that ended online.

With regards to bringing new domestic workers, the sources said proposals from authorities will be discussed, and then a  comprehensive report will be submitted to the Corona Emergency Committee, which in turn is in charge of the implementation of procedures and to provide reports to the Cabinet.
