A Kuwaiti woman was shot and killed by her second brother while under treatment in the Mubarak Hospital after surviving a murder attempt by her brother with the given reason being a family dispute, Al-Rai daily reported.

Investigations are ongoing into how the accused could easily reach her hospital room, which forbids visits and carry out his crime. He fled the scene without being caught, before later surrendering himself to the security men. Al-Rai daily published the details of the incident which occurred two days ago; a Kuwaiti woman was injured by her brother, who shot at her with a gun after an escalating argument on Monday evening at her husband’s house in Salwa. She was transferred to Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital, and was admitted to intensive care in a critical condition The efforts of the medical staff saved her life. Her brother was arrested at the beach of Anjafa, and detained in Salwa police station by order of the prosecutor and the weapon was seized.

Two days after the crime was committed, the Ministry of Interior operations was alerted that someone else fired on the victim inside the intensive care unit, but this time she was killed. The alleged killer managed to escape the scene. Investigations revealed that he was the other brother of the victim, who later surrendered himself to the security men at the Jahra police station, Al-Rai daily reported.

Meanwhile, an unidentified Kuwaiti, accompanied by his sons allegedly barged into the Visitors’ Hall at the Civil Service Commission and hurled obscenities at the employees on Tuesday, Al-Rai daily reported. The sons attempted to assault the employees, and one of the sons was carrying a sharp object in his hands, possibly a knife, said the daily, quoting sources.  The daily did not provide more details.
