Attorney General Counsel Muhammad Al-Duaij announced the execution of seven convicts scheduled on Wednesday, reported an Arab daily.

Al-Duaij said that the death row inmates to be executed consist of four Kuwaitis, a Syrian, a Pakistani and an Ethiopian, all of whom committed murder.

He pointed out that “the announcement of such executions undoubtedly achieves general deterrence, and that executions are a legitimate matter”.
