Al-Salmi Desert hosted a group of Kuwait University students, who participated in a scientific trip to observe the stars.
The event entitled “Kuwait Sky”, was organized in cooperation with the Center for Scientific Advancement for Publishing, one of the centers of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, reports Al-Qabas daily.
Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Dhari Al-Huwail, described the trip as educational and enjoyable, considering it the first of its kind.
He added that the aim of the trip is to enrich the students’ cultural and scientific knowledge of astronomy, climate and meteorology, by exploring many celestial bodies, stars, comets and galaxies.
He stressed that the willingness of male and female students from various colleges to participate in scientific activities contributes to strengthening effective community partnership, of value and high quality, between all agencies and sectors.
