Kuwait University has recommended the need to build the next generation of cybersecurity leaders by developing skills, expanding academic tracks and aligning job titles to suit the nature of the specialization and assigned work and to promote the Bachelor of Cyber Security discipline.

This came during the second cybersecurity conference, organized by the College of Life Sciences, with the participation of more than 500 enthusiasts, in person or via live broadcast technology on the YouTube platform, in coordination with the E-Learning Center of the Kuwait University, reports a local Arabic daily.

The Acting Dean of the College of Life Sciences, Dr. Ahmed Al-Lafi, stressed the importance of holding these conferences to build a close scientific base with experts and scientists in the field of cyber and information security.

The Acting Head of the Information Sciences Department at the College of Life Sciences, Dr. Badr Ali, said the conference discussed with a selection of local and international experts, several important topics in the fields of cybersecurity and information security in various vital sectors, indicating that the department continues to work with the university administration.
