Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Hamed AlAzmi affirmed on Sunday that opening six faculties within the compound of newly built Kuwait University in Al Shadadiya district came in line with guidelines by the political leadership that urged for attaining much concern for the youth.
Dr. AlAzmi in a statement to KUNA after his tour of the new KU compound said this “university city constitutes the basis for promoting academic teaching to the required international levels and improve the university rating and habilitate a new academic degree generation.”
Establishment of the new KU compound is a turning point in the march of university education, he said, alluding to the partial inauguration of the grand academic facility.
He addressed felicitations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah AlAhmad AlJaber AlSabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf AlAhmad AlJaber AlSabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber AlMubarak AlHamad AlSabah, the academicians and the students on this huge leap for modernizing the Kuwaiti educational sector.
Building the new KU facility has practically attained the prime goal of expanding higher education accommodation, he said, noting that the buildings and halls have been equipped with state of the art technology.
