The Secretary-General of Kuwait University, Dr. Fayez Al-Dhafiri, issued a circular prohibiting the use of sources of heat, flames and incense inside university buildings.
The circular, of which Al-Qabas obtained a copy, stated that the use of these sources of heat and incense leads to setting off fire alarms in university buildings, which operate automatically, which poses a threat to lives, property and university facilities.
